A Female Personal Care Assistant with a good sense of humour and a kind, caring approach is required to assist a young woman, who is a wheelchair user, living in the Bellshill area.
Your role involves morning and evening personal care support and companionship in the home, with an occasional trip out and about.
Responsibilities- Providing personal care support and helping with hair and make-up.
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks.
- Having a chat and a laugh.
- General housework.
- Moving and assisting by pushing a manual wheelchair.
- Going out with her to have nails done.
For this job we are looking for a chatty, funny person with a caring nature. The supported person may get tired and rest often, so a patient, thoughtful and understanding person would suit.
Skills and Attributes- Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- A driver with a Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential. You may be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid. This young lady also has her own mobility car, which you may drive.
- Relevant care experience is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
- Recruiting for 1 position.
- A zero hour contract, part time position with up to 10 hours per week available, to cover staff absence from the existing team of Personal Assistants. Additional hours may be available.
- Days and times: Evening support, Monday to Friday at 5:00pm – 7:00pm or 6:00pm – 8:00pm (can be flexible in evenings)
- Additional hours may be available for sickness or holiday cover.
- Hourly rate: £13.00 per hour
