Mary is a warm, sociable, and chatty young woman who thrives on friendly, relaxed interactions. She values being listened to, included, and treated as an equal. She enjoys simple, calming activities such as colouring, watching makeup and hair tutorials, and spending quality time with her family. Mary is happiest in familiar, comfortable environments and enjoys a calm home routine while still taking part in community groups. Mary also enjoys attending her Tea Dance Group as she loves to dance, have a cup of tea and spend time with others. Mary also enjoys listening to music; she loves everything from 70’s classics to Oasis.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 support to help Mary:
- Support Mary with staying active, well, and socially connected
- Access activities she enjoys within the community
- Offer gentle encouragement, helping her manage day to day needs (such as food choices and general wellbeing)
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment
What I Need From You
- Warm, patient, supportive, and understanding
- Chatty and sociable, with a natural, relaxed approach
- A good listener who values open communication
- Happy to share interests in music, beauty videos, or similar hobbies
- Comfortable providing companionship in both home and community settings
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and an understanding of safeguarding would be preferable.

Hours
15 hours per week on a fixed term contract (Maternity Leave Cover until 1st March 2027)
Monday: 10:00 am – 3:00pm
