Required to support my 7 year old daughter, who is non-verbal with complex needs. She’s a joy to be around, always laughing and loves to interact with anyone she meets but has no danger awareness so her Personal Assistant will be vital to help keep her safe as her care needs are 24/7.

We are looking for a friendly and supportive Personal Assistant to help develop independence and social skills. My daughter is fun loving and boisterous, the family are looking for someone with lots of energy and patience, preferably with medical experience and prior experience in a similar position.

My daughter enjoys swimming (with support), adapted dance classes and a sensory diet including soft play and specialised sensory sessions for overall regulation. She needs help and support with her mobility and does use a wheelchair buggy so candidates would need to be comfortable and able to transport this and push and lift my daughter into car seats and her wheelchair buggy.

The ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to support with lifting and accommodating an adapted buggy/wheelchair. My daughter is incontinent so personal care will be required as part of your role. Knowledge of Makaton is desirable as the individual is non-verbal.

Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle essential, travel expenses will be paid by the employer. 5 Hours per Week on a Saturday plus additional 4 hours per week during school holidays. Rate of pay: £17.50 per hour. PVG Scheme Membership or Scheme Update will be required by the successful candidate.
