Social Care Worker/Personal Assistant required for an 8‑year‑old non‑verbal girl in Kirkintilloch. She is funny and affectionate, likes music, dancing and being active. She enjoys jumping and bouncing at Innoflate & Flip Out, swimming, playing on her iPad, doing puzzles and playing with Numicon. In the house she also likes to play with her iPad, do puzzles and play with Numicon. There will be some personal care involved – all training will be provided by the family where needed.

A typical shift may involve going to one of her favourite activities, taking her to and from and engaging with her while she plays. Alternatively you may stay in the house, listening to music and dancing. You do not need relevant experience but you should be fit, kind and patient.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and daily care routines for the child.
  • Transport the child to and from activities and engagements.
  • Engage with the child during activities, playing and learning.
  • Support the child's physical, emotional and educational development as per family guidance.
Qualifications
  • Fit, kind and patient.
  • Desirable: driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Desirable: willingness to be trained in personal care by the family.
  • Must be able to provide a PVG disclosure at your own expense.
Terms & Benefits

Position based in Kirkintilloch – 2 hours per week or 4 hours every 2 weeks, ideally on weekends. Hourly rate: £14.00.
