Purpose of role
To manage 8 mobile teams across the North of the UK (Scotland, Yorkshire, Northern Ireland) who carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) at client sites as part of a nationwide team. The role reports to the National Contract Manager.
Key Skills/Experience
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Field Service Manager. The ideal candidate will either have previous experience managing a field-based team or be looking to take the first significant step in their managing career.
Main Duties
- To take responsibility for all matters relating to Health and Safety across the team and to ensure that work orders are completed in a safe manner.
- To interview and appoint new technicians as the need arises
- To provide competent support to the technicians, to lead and train in accordance with GCC RAMS
- Carry out quality control audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- To carry out personal development reviews with teams
- Maintain holiday and sickness records for your teams
- To step in and work alongside teams to meet deadlines and to support new teams in providing:
The Person
- Must be capable of lifting at least 22kg.
- A manual drivers license is essential
- Previous management of field based teams
- Ideally experience of industrial cleaning
- Excellent communicating both verbally and written.
- Full driving licence with maximum of 3 penalty points.
- Good geographical knowledge advantageous.
DBS check will be carried out as part of the successful candidate\’s pre-employment check.
