Job Description:

We have an exciting and rare new opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join an award-winning consultancy firm in West Yorkshire as an Associate / Senior Building Surveyor. Our clients are expanding rapidly and have secured numerous new projects.

This position offers career growth and a varied working role, including public and commercial sector work. There is also potential for progression to senior roles.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday

The successful Associate / Senior Building Surveyor will be offered:

  • £50,000 – £70,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Pension
  • Onsite parking

  • Experience as a practising Building Surveyor
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Access to own car

As an Associate / Senior Building Surveyor, your role will involve:

  • Advising clients about building/property issues, including technical, commercial, statutory, environmental/sustainability, building regulation, and restoration matters.
  • Monitoring deterioration or defects of properties and advising on repairs.
  • Assessing the impact of damage on insurance claims, e.g., after fire or flood.
  • Writing technical reports.
  • Negotiating repairs or financial settlements as needed.
  • Advising on quality and construction aspects of new and existing buildings.
  • Undertaking measured surveys and dilapidations.
