We’re delighted to be working with a highly reputable company based in Oxfordshire, which is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer Consultant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering innovative fire safety solutions on diverse and challenging projects across the UK, predominantly South of England and Greater London. Working hours:
- Full-time – 8:30 – 4:30
- Hybrid (days in office vary)
- Overnight stays may be required (Expenses paid)
The successful Fire Engineer Consultant will be offered:
- A basic salary between £70,000 – £85,000

To be considered for the Fire Engineer Consultant role, you must have:
- UK Driving License
- Must be flexible to commute to various areas in the UK, which can include but not limited to; Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Greater London, Bedfordshire…
- Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Engineering Science or related.
- In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Wider Engineering Codes.
- Strong communication skills, written or verbal.
- Experience using fire engineering design and analysis tools (i.e smoke evacuation modelling software)
- Proven experience in developing fire strategies for complex or high-value building projects.
- Previous Post-Graduate Experience Essential.
As a Fire Engineer Consultant, your role will involve:
- Undertaking fire risk assessments and developing detailed fire engineering strategies for new build, refurbishment, and change-of-use projects.
- Ensure fire safety compliance through detailed understanding and application of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and relevant international codes.
- Advise on escape routes, evacuation strategies, fire service access and structural fire resistance, while assisting clients in negotiations with fire authorities, building control, and other regulatory bodies.
- Prepare clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate with building surveyors.
- Work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and approving authorities to deliver fully compliant, fire-safe building designs.
