The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will:
- Provide technical support to Financial Advisers
- Analyse clients' existing financial portfolios and prepare detailed reviews
- Carry out complex financial calculations, including income tax, CGT, IHT, pension and allowance assessments
- Research and help formulate suitable financial planning recommendations
- Prepare full recommendation reports and supporting documentation
- Liaise with product providers, account managers, and clients
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations
- Support advisers in delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice
Paraplanner Requirements
- Previous experience within an IFA or financial planning practice (essential)
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Methodical, professional, and client-focused approach
