We're recruiting for a Head of Finance to join a rapidly expanding estate agency group based in Bury St Edmunds.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work closely with the company Directors, playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting continued business growth.
This senior position offers genuine responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence key commercial decisions within a successful and evolving organisation.
The Role As a Head of Finance, you will
- Take ownership of the full finance function across the business
- Lead, support, and develop a small finance team
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and cash-flow reports
- Produce monthly profit and loss accounts with clear analysis of performance, profitability, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Monitor business performance against agreed KPIs and provide recommendations where required
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and improve commercial and operational performance measures
- Provide financial insight by identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including payments, banking, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, supplier payments, and credit control
- Support annual budgeting, business planning, and future growth strategies
- Liaise with external accountants, advisers, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Improve financial systems and processes to support business efficiency
- Manage Xero across the finance function, including reporting, reconciliations, invoicing, payment processes, and controls Head of Finance
