We're recruiting for a Credit Controller & Debt Recovery Specialist to join a well-respected and growing business based in the Watton area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied role that combines credit control, debt recovery, client relationship management and business development within a supportive company that actively encourages career progression.
The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will
- Manage sales ledgers for multiple clients
- Chase outstanding invoices and ensure timely payment collection
- Allocate and reconcile payments
- Manage a portfolio of debt recovery cases from initial contact through to resolution
- Prepare demand letters, negotiate payment plans and carry out pre-legal debt recovery processes
- Resolve account disputes through effective negotiation with clients and debtors
- Complete bank reconciliations and process payments
- Build strong relationships with clients while delivering exceptional customer service
- Support business development activities and identify opportunities to grow the client base
- Credit Controller Requirements
- Previous experience within credit control, debt recovery or a similar finance role
- Experience managing company sales ledgers
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Good understanding of the debt recovery process
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach
What's on Offer?
- Basic salary of up to £33,000
- Bonus scheme with realistic OTE of £35,000 - £36,000
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm working hours
