Property Inspections Clerk requirements:

  • Previous experience within Residential Lettings would be a bonus but not essential as full training would be provided on this position.
  • Previous experience working in a face-to-face role is essential.
  • Highly organised and able to manage a busy diary.
  • Confident and professional.
  • Own car and clean driving licence.

As a Property Inspections Clerk your duties will include:

  • Use specialised iPad software to create thorough property condition reports before new tenants move in.
  • Address any unacceptable conditions by agreeing simple improvement plans with tenants during inspections.
  • Conduct pre-departure inspections to compile ‘check out’ reports detailing the property’s state before tenants vacate.
  • Help mediate disputes between landlords and tenants about damage exceeding fair wear and tear, aiming for a fair financial resolution.
  • If no agreement is reached, prepare and forward all necessary documentation to an independent adjudicator to determine any deposit deductions.
