We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Land Manager to join a well-established independent estate agency’s Land & New Homes team in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, securing, and managing land opportunities for residential development across Hertfordshire & surrounding counties, ensuring profitable outcomes while contributing to the growth of the business.

As a Land Manager, you will be offered:

  • Up to £35,000+ basic
  • Realistic OTE between £60,000-£70,000
  • No weekend work
  • Full support from the Land Director

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Identify and secure new residential development sites.
  • Generate business opportunities for the Land & New Homes department.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, vendors, and clients.
  • Negotiate sales and agreements effectively.
  • Collaborate with the wider agency team to drive business growth.
  • Lead and develop the new homes department.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Report directly to the Land Director on sales and performance figures.

To be considered for the Land Manager role, you must have:

  • Experience in land acquisition and new homes, with a proven track record.
  • Knowledge of the Hertfordshire area.
  • Understanding of planning law, development costs, and the residential property market.
  • Strong negotiation, selling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • IT literate and confident in reporting and data management.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
