The candidate will be joining an established family type support team of carers consisting of individual Personal Assistants (PA) to a 45 year old autistic young lady with learning disabilities who resides in her own home and which will be your place of work.
The role is very person centred with lone working.
Duties:- Client requires full support with washing, dressing, attending to personal hygiene and toilet needs.
- Client walks independently.
- Client enjoys listening to music and watching TV/DVDs.
- She likes being read to and enjoys songs from her song book being sung to her.
- Client likes being given attention, doing puzzles, looking at magazines, walking and socialising with visits to local pubs and cafes.
- The role includes support in identifying and engaging in new, meaningful and stimulating activities for the client within the local community.
- To engage in as many different activities as she enjoys and to structure activities in which our client enjoys the most, within a weekly/monthly timetable.
- To engage in social events/activities to enable her to spend social time with peers.
- Day Shift (09:00 β 22:00) Β£18.50 ph
- Sleeping Night Shift (22:00 β 07:00) Β£16.00 ph
- Shift lengths/patterns to be agreed.
The candidate is required to be qualified and experienced in similar roles. Due to the nature of care, the candidate is required to be female. The candidate will need to be a fully qualified driver and be active without health issues that are likely to affect the level of care that is required to be delivered. Candidates should reside locally, but those within a reasonable distance of the client's home will be considered.
Essential Criteria:- Fully vaccinated.
- Non-Smoker/non-vaper.
- Used to lone working.
- Flexible.
- Able to cook.
- Committed to the role.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be a great advantage due to the lone working nature of the role.
