A leading engineering contractor requires a proven mechanical engineer to join their site-based team delivering mechanical projects.
The Role
- Review and comment on construction P&ID’s, piping isometrics and GA’s.
- Understanding of industry standards and client specifications to ensure compliance.
- Review 3-D models of process plant/storage tanks for clash detection and constructability.
- Assess and determine offsite fabrication strategy and sequence, in conjunction with the fabrication team.
- Generate installation ITP & QA documentation in conjunction with the QA manager.
- Oversee site installation, hydrotesting and commissioning in conjunction with the construction manager.
- Generate system handover sequence, ITR’s and handover documentation in conjunction with the commissioning team and QA manager.
- Familiar with data management systems such as Aconex.
- Compliance with contractual obligations during design and construction.
- Monitoring and control of budgets as required by the project manager.
- Coordination of civil/mechanical interfaces during process plant design & construction.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in design, constructability and review.
- Fabrication and installation, commissioning of process piping systems.
- Proven mechanical engineering background.
