I'm working exclusively with a large, rapidly growing UK organisation that is investing heavily in its technology function and is looking for an experienced Platform Support Engineer to join the team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional IT support and take greater ownership of business‑critical enterprise platforms, helping improve their stability, performance and reliability.
You'll provide specialist support across a combination of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and bespoke internal platforms, working closely with business users, Technology, Development, DevOps, Security and third‑party suppliers.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 – F&O, CE and HCM
- Troubleshooting complex application and platform issues
- Managing incidents, service requests and problems through to resolution
- Identifying recurring issues and driving permanent fixes
- Supporting change, release and deployment activities
- Using Azure DevOps to manage bugs, requirements and enhancements
- Monitoring platform health and helping improve resilience
- Working with third-party suppliers and managing escalations
- Supporting platform updates, patches and security improvements
- Improving documentation, knowledge sharing and user self-service
- Contributing to automation and continuous service improvement
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have 3+ years' experience within Application Support, Platform Support, IT Support or Service Delivery, with strong hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience across ITSM, incident/problem/change management, Azure DevOps and working with third‑party vendors would be particularly valuable. Exposure to PowerShell, APIs, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, SDLC or ISO 27001/22301 would be advantageous.
This would suit someone who enjoys getting under the skin of complex systems, solving problems and taking ownership rather than simply escalating tickets.
