I'm currently working on behalf of a fast-growing SaaS organisation based in Manchester (hybrid city centre), who are looking to bring in a Senior Platform Engineer to play a key role in shaping and scaling their internal platform. This is a senior, hands-on position with strong technical ownership and leadership influence.
You'd be driving complex initiatives across Azure and AKS, helping define infrastructure standards (Terraform/Crossplane), and building out developer platforms that genuinely improve delivery speed, reliability, and security.
There's also a big focus on:
- Designing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure
- Advancing CI/CD practices (including progressive delivery strategies)
- Embedding observability and SRE principles across teams
- Mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across the function
They're looking for someone with strong Azure + Kubernetes experience, solid IaC skills, and a background in distributed systems and platform engineering at scale. Anyone that has come from a coding background would be highly revered but this isn't essential at all.
The role is offering £80,000 - £90,000, plus a strong benefits package and clear progression toward Staff/Principal level.
