A leading infrastructure contractor requires a proven HSE Manager to lead the overall group HSE function.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Managing Director and other senior directors, responsible for producing SHE standards, strategy and delivery.
  • Recruit and develop the SHE team.
  • Develop utilities sectors and SHE business plans.
  • Establish procedures to meet business Safety Health and Environment (SHE) plan projections.
  • Manage the corporate SHE improvement programme.
  • Develop, mentor and lead SHE teams on projects throughout the UK.
  • Introduce monthly SHE dashboards for the business and all projects.
  • Provide HSE strategies to support winning tenders on large projects.
  • Maintain core corporate SHEQ and additional certification across all the sectors.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven HSE background.
  • Tier 1/2 infrastructure contractor background (ideally utilities).
  • Strategic leadership of business unit or function.
