I’m currently looking for an experienced Contract Node.js Developer to join a fully remote 3-month project that involves rewriting an existing Perl & MongoDB system into Node.js and MongoDB Atlas. This is a greenfield-style rewrite, offering plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to shape the technical direction. You’ll be working alongside a small, focused team to deliver clean, modern, and maintainable code in a cloud-based environment.
Key Skills & Experience:- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of AWS and cloud-based deployments
- Familiarity with MongoDB and Linux environments (ideal but not essential)
- Previous experience in system rewrites, migrations, or modernisation projects would be a big advantage
- Start: Within the next 10 days (immediate availability preferred)
- Duration: 3 months
- Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
- IR35: Outside IR35
- Day Rate: £420–£450 per day
