About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Area Business Manager β Enteral Specialist to join our growing commercial team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for selling the GBUK Enteral Product Range, including Chyme Reinfusion, Bowel Management, Women's Health and Maternity products, into healthcare settings β predominantly within the NHS.
You will build strong, trusted relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including Nutrition Leads, Stoma Nurses, Consultants, Ward Managers, clinical teams, and Procurement departments. Training, education, and after-sales support are central to our success, so this role combines new business development with effective account management.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Deliver agreed KPIs, including face-to-face customer activity
- Analyse the local marketplace and develop robust territory and account strategies
- Lead the full sales cycle from product introduction and trials through to closing and contract negotiation
- Manage product mix, pricing, and margins in line with business objectives
- Identify and develop new accounts while expanding existing accounts into new product lines
- Build long-term, value-based relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and opinion leaders
- Identify upcoming tenders and procurement opportunities
- Attend and present at customer meetings, professional congresses, and key industry events
Market Insight & Reporting
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights
- Accurately record activity, opportunities, and outcomes using CRM and sales systems
- Prepare sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy area
- Provide timely, high-quality reports and updates to the National Sales Manager
Internal & Administrative
- Complete all administrative tasks and reporting accurately and on time
- Attend regional and national sales meetings as required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, technologies, sales tools, and processes
About you
- Minimum of 2 years' successful sales experience, with a consistent track record of high performance
- Strong understanding of the NHS landscape and competitive marketplace
- Clear knowledge of NHS decision-making and procurement processes
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Confident with IT systems and CRM tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous medical device or healthcare sales experience
- Clinical background or hands-on healthcare experience
- Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
