The opportunity for U We are currently seeking an IT Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team and support our London office team members with their IT requirements. If you have a passion for customer service and want to build on your IT experience in a fast-paced global business, we want to hear from you! This London-based role provides both onsite and remote technical support for computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals. The focus is on resolving user issues, performing installations and configurations, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support for user issues, including hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices like printers and mobiles.
  • Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, operating systems, and applications for end-users.
  • User Account Management: Set up and manage new user accounts and provide initial IT setup for new employees.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Repair and replace malfunctioning equipment, such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Remote Support: Utilise remote assistance tools to provide support to users, including monitoring and shadowing.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network and desktop environments.
  • Documentation: Record and track customer contacts and technical issues in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
  • Asset Management: Ensure new hardware and software are up-to-date and deployment-ready before being issued to users.

Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, corporate Code of Conduct and comply with legal obligations. Where appropriate keeps up to date with industry trends and changes through membership of relevant organisations. Ensures personal adherence to workplace health and safety requirements and takes positive action to ensure a safe workplace. Acts in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role with a strong customer focus, responding quickly and efficiently to support requests.
  • Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide professional, user-focused solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: A natural problem-solver who can identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements.
