To ensure the company sustains its growth objectives by delivering a steady stream of leads and enquiries to the sales team. This will be achieved through ongoing market analysis to ensure we have a good understanding of our customers’ needs and wants.
Responsibilities
- Leading a small team, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the marketing strategy. Covering all aspects of the marketing mix, you will lead our marketing campaigns, evaluate marketing performance metrics, and work closely with the sales team.
- In line with the company’s business plan, develop and implement a comprehensive strategic marketing plan with clearly defined goals and KPIs.
- Work closely with the wider sales and marketing team to develop integrated campaigns that support both brand and commercial objectives.
- Critically evaluate all campaigns and be responsible for continually improving and taking our marketing activities to the next level (based upon agreed KPIs).
- Manage and develop a small team ensuring they continue to progress and improve their knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to continuously refine the customer journey ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything the company does.
- Ensure all activities align to the brand guidelines and brand positioning.
- Create compelling content across a variety of channels including press releases, blogs, brochures, advertorials, newsletters and CPD webinars.
- Manage agency relationships for Web, SEO, Adwords, Video and Graphic Design.
- Use data analytics to constantly improve marketing communications and optimise conversion rates and engagement levels.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures, ensuring that the work area, equipment and materials are left in a safe state; and that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of all fellow employees and any other persons within the work area.
- Work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
- Carry out and comply with all company policies, procedures and instructions and any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the company.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ strategic marketing management experience.
- Degree level qualification in marketing.
- Experience of using automated marketing and CRM systems.
- Brand management experience.
- Ability to lead, develop and motivate a young team.
- Knowledge of market research methods to ensure the company has a good understanding of the markets it operates in, its competitors, good customer insight, and price positioning.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Experience of dealing with trade and local press for PR purposes.
- Experience of events planning.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of google analytics and social media analysis and general marketing/sales dashboards.
- Experience managing external agencies.
- Budgetary management experience.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge / experience of marketing within the construction industry to contractors, developers and specifiers.
- Experience with creating and managing CPD programmes.
- CIM Diploma or similar.
