About the Role: Be the Face of Safety on Campus. We’re looking for a proactive and approachable Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our staff, students, and visitors. This is more than a security role, it’s about being a visible, trusted presence on campus and delivering outstanding customer service every day. As a Security Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining campus safety, monitoring activity across our college premises, and supporting a positive experience for everyone on site and within the surrounding community. You’ll be confident engaging with a diverse range of people, handling situations calmly, and upholding high standards of professionalism at all times. You’ll work across multiple college locations, helping to protect our spaces while ensuring they remain friendly, inclusive, and well-managed environments. The role requires flexibility to work at any time during campus opening hours, which are from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm Monday to Friday and from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise specified. Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

What We’re Looking For

  • Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management, as well as local police and fire authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in performing building security checks and lock procedures.
  • Excellent awareness and surveillance skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Experience in working in a similar role.
  • Flexibility to work at any time of the campus operation hours (unless specified otherwise).

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Valid SIA CCTV license.
  • Knowledge of security and safety systems.
  • Knowledge of emergency and evacuation procedures.
