The Role: The Outreach Officer sits within Student Recruitment and will lead on efforts to build strategic relationships, foster community engagement, and expand our educational and corporate partnerships. You will have a passion for education and business development, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in outreach initiatives. This role is essential in advancing GBS's mission to provide impactful educational solutions across diverse sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies to foster meaningful partnerships with educational institutions, non-profits, and corporate partners that align with GBS's mission and values.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including universities, government agencies, industry groups, and local community organisations.
- Program Development: Design and coordinate outreach programs, workshops, and events that showcase GBS's educational resources and services.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop outreach campaigns and materials that highlight GBS's educational solutions.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Utilise data to assess the impact of outreach initiatives, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for maximising engagement.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent GBS at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities, enhancing the company's visibility and reputation within the education sector.
About You:
- Proven experience in outreach, recruitment, or community engagement, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience of providing excellent customer service to prospective students by addressing their enquiries, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Able to utilise effective selling techniques to achieve enrolment targets.
- Ability to identify the needs and goals of prospective students and recommend suitable programmes.
- Ability to effectively communicate with prospective candidates through various channels, including in-person interactions, phone calls, emails, and other platforms.
- Ability to effectively use active listening skills towards the needs and concerns of prospective students and responding with tailored solutions and support.
- Ability to use effective closing skills by guiding prospective students through the enrolment process and overcoming objections to secure commitments and enrolments.
- Full and clean UK driving license.
