The Role: GBS is seeking a motivated and dynamic Marketing Executive. This role ensures consistent and compelling brand positioning across all channels, while aligning marketing efforts with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for education, combined with a solid marketing background.
What The Role Involves:
- Affiliate Marketing Management: Develop, manage, and optimize affiliate marketing partnerships to drive qualified leads and revenue. Onboard, monitor, and evaluate affiliates to ensure brand alignment, compliance with CMA and advertising standards, and strong ROI performance.
- Website Compliance & Content Governance: Ensure all website marketing content complies with UK regulations, CMA guidelines, and internal brand standards. Partner closely with legal, compliance, and product teams to review, approve, and audit website updates for accuracy, transparency, and customer fairness.
- Email Marketing Ownership: Lead the end-to-end email marketing strategy, including campaign planning, segmentation, automation, and performance optimization. Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines, GDPR, and UK marketing compliance standards.
- Jira Ticket & Workflow Management: Own the marketing workflow through Jira, ensuring all requests, campaigns, and compliance updates are logged, prioritised, and tracked. Coordinate with design, product, legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure timely delivery and clear audit trails.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Manage marketing budgets and relationships with external agencies, designers, and media partners to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery.
- Centralised Marketing Content Management: Establish and manage a single source of truth for all marketing content, assets, and campaign materials. Oversee marketing asset libraries and DAM systems to ensure consistency, version control, and compliance.
- Brand Management: Strengthen and maintain consistent brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all communication channels and touchpoints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and academic teams to create impactful marketing materials and go-to-market initiatives that support business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing technologies to keep GBS at the forefront of educational marketing innovation.
Experience And Skills Required:
- Digital & Campaign Expertise: Proven experience in planning, executing, and optimising multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, email, social media, and partnerships.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including sales, product, compliance, agencies, and affiliates.
- Data & Performance Orientation: Skilled in analysing marketing metrics such as ROI, conversion rates, open rates, CTR, and customer engagement to drive continuous improvement.
- Organisational & Time Management Skills: Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple campaigns, compliance updates, and projects simultaneously within deadlines and budgets.
- Brand & Compliance Awareness: Solid understanding of brand governance, CMA guidelines, and UK marketing compliance standards, ensuring all marketing activity is accurate, transparent, and customer-focused.
