What We Do: The Finance Support Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Finance Support Officers are equipped, trained and competent to support students with all aspects of their student funding applications. Providing a high-quality, progressive, equitable and inclusive student experience is really important in this role and you will help support staff and students with the process. In this role you will closely work with the Finance Support Manager.

About The Role:

  • To effectively facilitate and oversee the daily operations of the Finance Support Team across campuses, ensuring the team achieves its objectives of assisting and processing Student Finance applications and supporting students with all funding enquiries.
  • Provide line management to the Finance Support Officers within the designated team, work closely with the Finance Support Manager in line management aspects.
  • To maintain effective communication with internal and external partners to maximize student numbers and successful funding.
  • Identify areas for collaboration and continuous improvement with internal and external partners to always support students with a quality service delivery.
  • Lead the Finance Support Officers within the team to deliver a quality student focused service delivery, monitor performance, and undertake regular quality checks to ensure targets, SLA’s and objectives are being met and to the required standard.
  • Support all internal student facing teams and departments by advising, training and assisting on eligibility criteria for funding in accordance with funding regulations.

About You:

  • Experience working in finance operations within HE and Accounts Receivable.
  • A high degree of computer literacy (particularly Microsoft Office applications).
  • Expert in MS Excel and pivot tables.
  • The ability to use statistics and database management.
  • Effective time management and planning.
  • Ability to work independently and strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a leadership/supervisor role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
