Global Banking School is looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing, and Social Care. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to our academic programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching across a range of health and social care modules.
- Contributing to curriculum development.
- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
- Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
- Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials including live online learning.
- Attending meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams.
- Actively being involved in staff development activities and peer observations.
- Understanding and keeping up to date with student support to ensure our students have the full support and guidance they need.
- Participating in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention and attendance.
- Undertaking administrative duties as agreed with your line manager.
- Taking on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS.
Requirements:
- Essential: Master’s degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
- Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
- Previous lecturing experience for similar courses.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Desirable: Experience working in the industry of your subject.
