Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) – sponsorship not offered.

The Role: We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme with our Oxford Brookes University partnership (OBU). Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

What you'll be doing: As a Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing & Social Care at Global Banking School, you will deliver management-related modules in the above areas. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.

  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
  • Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
  • Understand and keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.

About You:

  • Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Have experience with accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  • Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Be able to work with diverse groups of people.

Desirable:

  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
  • Have experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
