About the Role

We are currently seeking lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The delivery model requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your Accounting and Finance expertise can ignite a passion for learning. What you’ll be doing

Enjoy all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students while keeping up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices. If you have experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
  • Developing, updating and improving course materials as appropriate.
  • Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
  • Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Master\’s degree in an Accounting and Finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent; a full member of PSRBs, PhD desirable.
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
  • Capable of working under pressure, planning and prioritising own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
  • Fully qualified from PSRBs (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA).
