The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and campus visitors. This role includes managing campus security, monitoring the activity of students, staff, and visitors, and providing a high standard of customer service. The Security Officer will operate across various college premises, ensuring both security and a positive experience for all on site and in the neighbouring community. The role requires flexibility to work at any time during campus opening hours, which are from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm Monday to Friday and from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise specified.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Skilled in performing building security checks and lock procedures.
  • Excellent awareness and surveillance skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Experience in working in a similar role.
  • Flexibility to work at any time of the campus operation hours (unless specified otherwise).

  • Valid SIA CCTV license.
