Join the Estates & Facilities team at Global Banking School (GBS) as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You'll maintain, install, and refurbish building fabric and equipment across our UK campus portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient learning environments. This hands-on role combines planned and preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and support for refurbishment projects, with occasional out-of-hours work to minimise disruption.
What you'll do
- Planned & reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems
- General trades: plumbing, electrical fittings, carpentry, decorating
- Inspections (HVAC, lighting, fire interfaces), PAT, fire door & Legionella checks
- Support refurbishments, installations, and campus upgrades
- Accurate records, stock control, and safe systems of work
What you'll bring
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard.
- Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems.
- Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work with 'can do' attitude.
- Familiarity with COSHH requirements for the equipment and chemicals being used.
- Interpersonal skill and ability to work on your own but at the same time part of the facilities wider team
- Full, Clean Driving License
