About the Role

Location: GBS Lurgan (Hybrid working)

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Contract: Full‑time (37.75 hours)

Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm; Friday 8:00am–2:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Support month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage general ledger accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
  • Perform inter‑company accounting and reconciliations (AR, AP, loans).
  • Assist with cash and FX forecasting processes.
  • Help prepare UK statutory accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate procedures.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries with strong customer focus.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Newly qualified or 1 year PQE as ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW accountant.
  • Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Exposure to financial systems (Oracle experience beneficial but not essential).
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, meeting deadlines.
  • Analytical, proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Strong integrity and commitment to high standards.
