- Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
- Develop, update and improve course materials.
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
- Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
- Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Hold a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the UK or equivalent. PhD desirable. - Have previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit, or similar).
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Maintain accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records.
- Work under pressure, prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people., Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
- Full qualification from PSRB's such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA.
