Location: Manchester (On-Site)
Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Pearson provides high-quality digital content and learning experiences, as well as assessments and qualifications that help people build their skills and grow with the world around them.
The role: We are currently seeking full-time Lecturers to teach as part of our HND in Digital Technologies for England (Cyber Security) programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.

Main Responsibilities
What you\βll be doing: As a Lecturer in Digital Technologies at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules based around Big Data, Cyber Security, Networking, Programming, IoT and more. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, that will equip students with a range of key skills essential for entry into this exciting and ever-evolving sector. You will undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
Responsibilities include:
- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met
- Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate
- Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
- Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
- Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression
Requirements
About you:
- You will hold a Master\βs degree in a relevant subject area (Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc. desirable)
- You will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
- You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of two or more of the following areas:
- Programming and software development
- Web development and digital marketing
- Database systems
- Cloud computing
- Networking and cybersecurity.
- IoT and emerging technologies.
- Business analysis and digital transformation
- You will have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- You will have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records
- You will be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- You will be able to work with diverse groups of people
