What We Do: The Employability and Entrepreneurship Department at GBS is dedicated to preparing students for successful careers and business ventures. It offers tailored one-to-one guidance, a dynamic online Careers Hub via Handshake, and a structured Employability Award that builds critical job-seeking skills through Bronze to Platinum levels. Students gain practical experience in CV building, networking, and real job applications, including tools like ChatGPT.
The role: The Careers Associate plays a critical administrative and coordination role in supporting the delivery of high-quality careers services across GBS campuses. Working closely with the Careers Campus Manager, Careers Consultants, and Careers Officers, the Careers Associate ensures accurate data management, efficient scheduling, streamlined communication, and consistent service delivery to enhance student employability outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
What the role involves:
Data Collection and Management
- Maintain accurate records of student and alumni engagement, coaching sessions, workshops, and progression outcomes in CRM and reporting tools.
- Collate and submit data required for institutional reporting (e.g. B3 metrics, placement tracking, professional role progression).
Administrative Coordination
- Schedule and receive feedback on appointments, events, and workshops for Careers Consultants and Officers across campuses.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of materials for careers events, including CV clinics, job fairs, and employer sessions.
Resource and Communications Support
- Draft communications (emails, newsletters, reminders) to students and alumni on careers services and opportunities.
- Facilitate communication between students and the appropriate careers team member.
Operational Support
- Collect feedback from students and employers after workshops and events to support evaluation and improvement.
- Provide administrative support during busy periods, including enrolment, graduation, and GOS survey timelines.
Team and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Careers Consultants and Officers to ensure student records are accurately reflected in progress tracking.
- Support the Careers Campus Manager in monitoring the delivery of KPIs across the campus.

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data tracking tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work across different campuses and with multiple stakeholders.
- Flexible, collaborative, and service-oriented approach.
