Our clients are seeking a reliable, flexible, and professional Working Site Manager to oversee multiple projects and contractor teams across sensitive and high-profile client sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage site operations safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage & get involved with day-to-day operations across multiple project sites
- Supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and specialist contractor teams
- Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and within project requirements
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance at all times
- Liaise with clients, facilities teams, and senior management professionally
- Coordinate site logistics, permits, and access requirements
- Carry out all site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Monitor progress and provide regular project updates and reports
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently while maintaining programme deadlines
- Work across sensitive and secure environments with discretion and professionalism
- Professional communication between all project stakeholders
- Proactive problem solving to overcome issues
Essential Requirements
- Valid SMSTS qualification
- Proven experience managing construction or maintenance projects
- Experience supervising multiple contractor teams
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel
- Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work confidently within sensitive or high-security environments
Desirable
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Experience working on commercial & secure sites
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems
