Role Description
TechEdge is seeking a highly driven commercial professional to lead and grow our presence across Australia and New Zealand. This role plays a critical part in delivering TechEdge’s growth strategy, acting as a key representative of the business in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening relationships with existing clients, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and ensuring our offerings align with local market needs. A critical aspect of the role is bringing market and client insights back into the organization, actively contributing to the development and refinement of TechEdge’s products and services to ensure they remain relevant, competitive, and tailored to regional demand. This role requires a strong blend of sales, business development, client service, and market insight capabilities, with a focus on building long-term partnerships while shaping solutions that drive sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Business Development & Sales: Act as TechEdge’s primary commercial lead in ANZ, autonomously driving the identification, development, and conversion of new business opportunities. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned with growth targets, lead client conversations, and own proposals and negotiations end-to-end. Represent TechEdge in the market with credibility and independence, while aligning with global commercial strategies and priorities.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients in the region, owning relationships end-to-end and acting as a trusted advisor. Build strong, long-term partnerships while proactively identifying opportunities to grow accounts through cross-selling and upselling. Operate independently in-market while ensuring clients benefit from the full breadth of TechEdge’s global capabilities.
- Market Insight & Portfolio Development: Develop a deep understanding of local market dynamics, client needs and competitive trends, and act as the voice of the ANZ market within the organization. Translate insights into actionable opportunities and work closely with global product and leadership teams across Europe, Singapore and the US to influence and shape offerings that are relevant, competitive, and tailored to regional demand.
- Collaborative approach: Act as the bridge between the ANZ market and TechEdge’s global teams, coordinating closely with colleagues across and Singapore. Ensure alignment on client needs, solution design, and delivery, while navigating time zones and distributed teams effectively. Drive seamless collaboration to deliver consistent client experiences and support regional growth objectives.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced and personable sales professional with a proven track record of managing large accounts and building long-term partnerships across the media and digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating as TechEdge’s sole representative in the ANZ market, and confident in independently driving growth while collaborating effectively with global teams.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Client-centric and results-driven
- Passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and solving client challenges.
- Motivated by achieving sales targets and growing account revenue through consultative, value-based selling.
- Independent, proactive and ownership-oriented
- Able to thrive in a hybrid work setup, working independently and taking full ownership of clients, opportunities and contracts.
- Proactive and self-driven, with a strong growth mindset and the ability to move initiatives forward without extensive oversight.
- Technically confident
- Comfortable working with complex, data-driven software solutions.
- Capable of translating technical capabilities into clear, compelling value for clients who may not be technically minded.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where everyone is a “doer”.
- Willing to manage the full sales process end-to-end, coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Industry knowledge and network
- Strong understanding of the media, broadcasting, streaming, measurement or ad-tech ecosystem.
- Experience working with local broadcasters, agencies, digital platforms or streaming services is highly desirable.
- An established industry network that enables the candidate to hit the ground running.
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Outgoing, engaging and able to build rapport effortlessly with external stakeholders.
