The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
As the Plant Manager for this Lincolnshire based Wood Biomass business, you will successfully lead the commissioning of site modifications, maintenance programs & repair plans for high capital Biomass / Wood Pellet machinery, in order to get the plant producing Energy (RHI), as well as producing Wood Pellets (using clean untreated virgin wood chip material) for various end users.
Ideally you will have Plant Management / Engineering Management experience within similar work environments such as Biomass, Renewable Energy, Waste & Recycling, Wood product manufacturing or similar.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Days, 7.30am - 5.30 pm
You will be an experienced Plant Manager, Engineering Manager or Renewable Waste Management professional, ideally from a Waste Recycling / Renewable Energy sector (Wood Biomass or another form of Power Generation) with a strong understanding of RHI, Waste Recycling, Renewable Energy plant processes.
Plant Manager Duties:- As the Senior Appointed Person, you will be primarily responsible for managing the commissioning & site maintenance program (high capital large scale machinery inc. generators, steam boilers, turbines etc.) with a view of getting production running by June 2025.
- Planning of all commissioning / maintenance works to meet deadlines.
- Overseeing machinery builds, maintenance & repairs, plus repairs to the fabric of the building (FM & Building Services control).
- Ensuring the on-site boilers & superchargers are maintained.
- Ensure water quality testing & adjust chemical dosing levels when needed to ensure optimal plant operations.
- Delegating workloads & ensuring all tasks completed fully (employees & sub-contractors on-site).
- Promoting CI / LEAN ways of working.
- Ensuring site H&S, plus site compliance at all times (RAMS, COSHH, Fire etc.).
- Ideally experienced in Recycling, Waste Management, Biomass, or similar types of working environments at a Plant, Production or Engineering Manager level (SAP).
- BOAS Steam accredited professional.
- Engineering / Technical knowledge of steam boilers, turbines, generators, conveyors, chippers etc.
- Knowledge of Biomass (RHI) / Wood Pellet processing machinery & relevant working tasks & procedures.
- New start up experience would be ideal, as this is a relatively new site.
- RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) experience is an advantage.
- Able to be hands on & work in a small team (6 others).
- Strong communication skills at all levels & quality focused.
- Positive driven can-do mentality, promoting positive work cultures.
