GBR Recruitment Ltd are exclusively working with a leading engineered products manufacturing business based on the edge of Northamptonshire recruiting for an experienced Environmental Health Safety Coordinator (EHS) who is strong in EHS, with a key focus on all Environmental control measures across the business, including Environmental permits are updated, the EHS management system is maintained / updated & Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) records are kept updated.
You will also support the implementation of new HSE processes, improving current EHS processes, promoting a strong safety culture with everyone across the manufacturing facility playing their part in ensuring safety 1st.
This is a fast paced varied interesting role that would suit a HS&E / SHE professional who is working in an EHS, SHE, HSE, SHEQ H&SE, HS&E capacity, within a fast paced every changing complex manufacturing / engineering facility at a Coordinator, Administrator or Advisor level, holding a NEBOSH Diploma.
Responsible for
- Updating & maintaining the EHS management systems
- Updating the VOC records
- Environmental permit control measures ensuring adhernece to them
- SSOW creation
- RAMS
- EHS Training & guidance to staff
- Toolbox talks & briefings
- General health, safety & environmental support
- Risk registers
- COSHH data registers & chemical usage records
- Assist in ensuring the business meets the ISO standards ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- Support the wider operation where required
What we are looking for
- Experienced in a EHS Coordinator / Advisor / Administrator role, including experience of a complexed engineered / manufactured products environment (builds with many stages, assembly line type processes)
* IOSH qualification, is a must have!
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Manufacturing / Engineering experience & know how
- IT competent used to using computerised HSE / EHS reporting systems.
- Knowledge of Environmental Permits
- Previous experience with VOC
- Able to get teams (all levels) to buy into HSE processes & the reasons for them, selling the benefits of HSE measures to all workers, as everyone is responsible for a safe working environment.
