GBR Recruitment Ltd are proud to be working exclusively with a modern market leading sustainable, environmentally friendly packaging business (food / FMCG sector packaging solutions) recruiting for an experienced Slitter Machine Operator, operating & setting a slitting machine, which cuts & slits materials into specified widths.

You will set up the machine, ensuring proper alignment of materials, adjust the machine settings, monitor the quality of cuts. You will also be responsible for quality control, reporting issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Duties:
  • Setting up & operating the slitting machine, including loading raw packaging materials, adjusting the slitting machine settings, ensuring the machine is properly calibrated for the specific slitting / cutting tasks.
  • Monitoring the quality of cuts, by visually inspecting the cut materials & using measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Performing quality control checks, identifying & removing any defects or non-conforming products.
Experience Desired:
  • Packing Slitter / Slitting Machinery Operator experience, or other Packaging / Print machinery is ideal.
  • Ideally Food / FMCG sustainable Packaging manufacturing / machining experience. Not a must.
  • Knowledge of various Packaging formats & Packaging production techniques.
  • Happy to work rotating shifts, working 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (12-8pm Fridays) Monday to Friday.
  • The client will train those without Slitting Machinery experience, but ideally you will have operated other Packaging or Labelling Machinery or other Cutting Machinery.
