GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading agricultural & groundcare machinery business, recruiting for x5 Trainee / Junior Engineers to complete a level 3 land based engineering diploma qualification & earn at the same time as completing practical & class room based training & studies. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about getting into agricultural machinery engineering (tractors, combines, telehandlers etc) or groundcare machinery (ride on mowers etc.) to join a well known business that is highly respected in the agri & groundcare industry working on top end makes & models of machinery. If you have a level 2 qualification in HGV mechanics, automotive mechanics, mechanical engineering, land based engineering or maintenance & operations engineering or similar, then this could be ideal for you to develop your engineering career further. Duties / Activities: * The programme combines classroom learning, practical workshop training, workplace experience and industry-recognised qualifications, providing a fast-track route to becoming a highly skilled Land-Based Engineer and Certified Technician. * You will be learning how to service, maintain, diagnose and repair agricultural and groundcare, turf machinery and equipment. * You will gain hands-on the tools experience in the workshop, working alongside qualified technicians and gradually taking on more engineering responsibility as your skills and confidence develop further. * The programme combines depot-based learning with block release training at one of the specialist training centres, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a real working environment while developing a thorough understanding of the vast array of company products, systems and standards. * You will receive specialist training in diagnostics, precision technologies, machine optimisation and advanced repair techniques, supported by experienced mentors throughout their development. Application Requirements: * GCSEs: Maths, English Language and Science at Grade 4 (C) or above. * Alternative Qualifications: A relevant Level 2 engineering qualification, A-Levels, or another higher-level qualification in a related discipline. * Interest and Aptitude: A genuine interest in machinery, engineering and mechanical servicing, with a desire to learn, develop technical skills and pursue a career in the land-based engineering industry. * Employment experience: experience within agricultural machinery, mobile plant machinery, off-highway machinery, MHE machinery, telehandlers, forklifts, municipal machinery, HGV's, automotive or similar would be beneficial but not a must have. This could suit someone working as or who has worked as a Trainee Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Junior Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Forklift Engineer, MHE Engineer, Mobile Plant Technician, Mobile Plant Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electricians Mate, Electrical Improver, Technical Operator, Groundcare Technician, Groundcare Engineer, HGV Technician, Mechanic, Workshop Engineer, Field Technician, Field Engineer, Garden Machinery Technician, Engineering Technician or similar.
