GBR Recruitment Ltd is working with a well-respected and highly rated roofing business that is Checkatrade recommended, recruiting for self-employed sub-contract Roofers to work on Council Housing contracts across North Kesteven and Peterborough areas (x2 roles, x1 roofer in each area, ongoing sub-contract work). These sub-contracting roles come with a set hourly pay rate, as well as fuel expenses. Both roles will start on WC: 12/01/2026.
You must have your own van and tools; the hirer can provide harness roof ropes if needed. In these roofing roles, you must be able to work alone and be able to use roofing ladders as well as other associated health and safety equipment. You will carry out roofing repairs such as changing damaged tiles and associated cement work, carrying out all types of rapid repairs to a number of houses within the Council's housing stock.
You will need to be able to work at pace providing a quality finish to all repairs. Within this role, you would be completing approximately between 4 and 7 roofing repairs per day, depending on the size or difficulty of the repair required by the resident. Photos of all completed works must be taken, in order to prove the quality of finish and to confirm that the completed repair has been undertaken as requested.
