Tekla & AutoCAD Technician in Leicester

GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established & highly progressive mild & stainless steel framework manufacturing & installation business, based in the heart of the East Midlands, recruiting for a Tekla & AutoCAD Technician to join their steels fabrication & build workshop team.\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Tekla & AutoCAD steels engineering professional to work on producing Tekla & AutoCAD drawings & production packs, plus project coordination & project management, producing take off lists, ordering steels & fixings to be used in the construction / fabrication of steel frameworks.\\nThis steel engineering / construction business works to BS EN 1090-2:2018 ex2 producing high quality steel frameworks used in various construction industries.\\nThis role is for a design professional who is working in or has worked in steel construction / steel erecting & steel fabrication (one or more of in steel works).\\nSo if you are a Tekla & AutoCAD steel engineering professional who wants to work for a modern steels business, then this is a great opportunity for you to use your Tekla design skills.\\nDuties:\\n * Producing technical drawings / designs using Tekla & AutoCAD design software\\n * Supporting the implementation of new technical drawing systems / working processes\\n * Producing job sheets / job packs for the Steel production team using Tekla & AutoCAD software\\n * Produce take off lists, plus ordering steels, metals & fixings.\\n * Complete galvanising lists & fixing lists\\n * Follow QA / QC systems\\n * Complete technical documentation\\n * Project coordinating / management\\n * Complete non-conformance documents when necessary\\n * Attend production / workshop meetings as part of the design team\\nQualifications / Attributes:\\n * Strong in using Tekla & AutoCAD design software (Tekla design software experience is a must have)\\n * Steel fabrication & Steel engineering / construction experience\\n * BS1090 ex2. workshop compliance knowledge / experience\\n * ISO 9001 knowledge & experience\\n * Understanding of Steel Workshop processes\\nThis role is suitable for those Tekla & AutoCAD design professionals living in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Northamptonshire, or a Tekla design professional who is looking to relocate to the East Midlands.\\nInterviews to take place immediately, January 2026 start for the right applicant
