GBR Recruitment Ltd are proudly working exclusively with a leading high end B2B & B2C products business recruiting for a Factory Packing Operative to join their well established small knit team located in the East Lindsey area of Lincolnshire.

The hours are 9am to 5pm / 5:30pm off peak, peak season would be more 8am to 8pm with additional pay for these hours increasing your annual pay above the listed figures. The hourly pay rate for this role is £14.50 p/h to then go up to a £15.50 p/h after completing the 3 month probationary period.

This is a hands-on packing role at the heart of the clients operations, ensuring every product is packed to a high quality standard and well presented, as presentation is key for the companies image. Lots of the product ranges can be bespoke or more of a general selection. In this role you must have an eye for detail and a focus on packing to a high quality standard as the boxing/packaging of the products is the first thing the customer sees.

Peak times are the usual key times of Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, Christmas, New Years Eve Celebration Packs, Birthdays, Engagements, Weddings and Corporate Events, which is when additional/extended working hours will be needed, but you will be rewarded for this.

Food/Beverages (F&B) experience of some kind would be useful, or experience of working with a small stores/warehouse packing team would be advantageous as this is a small SME business where everyone is hands on and everyone multi-tasks.

Duties:

  • Packing high end products to the highest standard with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for high quality presentation of products
  • Carrying out robust daily quality checks, following SALSA procedures
  • Booking in stock/raw materials and completing daily stock counts
  • Checking product quality to ensure everything meets the brand standards
  • Supporting local product deliveries when needed (in companies van)
  • Able to work independently at times (this role includes lone working)

Attributes:

  • Packing experience is a must have (high end products ideally)
  • Quality control experience
  • Stock control/stock taking experience is desired
  • A strong work ethic and pride in doing things properly
  • High attention to detail/quality focused (this is essential)
  • Highly organised, reliable and proactive thinker
  • A forklift license would be beneficial but not a must have
  • A full driving licence (in order to complete local deliveries)
  • Happy to work a Sunday day shift every fortnight with a day off on Wednesday to compensate, plus the Saturday off too

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday days + every other Sunday, with a Wednesday & Saturday off on the weeks you work the Sunday day shift (9-5 / 5:30pm).
