GBR Recruitment Ltd is working exclusively with a leading Agricultural Farming Product business that sells, services, maintains, and repairs Tractors, Combine Harvesters, Trailers, Attachments & more. We are recruiting an experienced Agricultural Service Technician (workshop & field based, driving a van) to join their team of Agri Engineering professionals.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Service Department performing maintenance & repairs on a wide range of agricultural farming machinery including Tractors, Combines, Trailers & Attachments.
- Provide support at customers' farms, agricultural businesses, or within the workshop.
- Advise customers on how to maximise their agri‑machines and provide information on related products & services.
- Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics & repairs.
- Complete service / maintenance reports & associated administration tasks required for the work undertaken.
- Understand agri‑machinery manufacturers' customer‑care processes.
- Complete regular product training (various agri brands) to enhance product knowledge & develop agri‑engineering skills.
- Perform pre‑delivery setup on new or used agri equipment and support the company’s service specialists when required.
Attributes
- Strong experience working on Tractors is essential; experience on Combine Harvesters, Trailers & Attachments is an added benefit.
- Some form of Engineering qualification or comparable work experience.
- A passion for farming products & equipment.
- Knowledge of farming processes is useful (harvesting, crop preparation, etc.).
This role is commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate, Beverley, Wetherby, Bilbrough, Sherburn in Elmet, Copmanthorpe, Bishopthorpe, Snaith, Bradford, Dewsbury, Castleford, Pontefract, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Keighley, Selby, Goole, Wakefield, Otley & surrounding villages. The agri client will also consider candidates looking to relocate to the above area.
