GBR Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading wood biomass power generation company in Lincolnshire / North Lincolnshire, recruiting for an experienced Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer (Biomass Plant Recycling / Manufacturing) to work on fixed days 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, solely responsible for all things Electrical, plus supporting Mechanical works too (M&E). This is a key role, working on the day shift carrying out project & commissioning works, plus keeping the Wood Biomass manufacturing plant running smoothly & effectively at the top output levels possible. You will be a multi disciplined / multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, that is strong in both Heavy Mechanical Machinery & Electrical Installations (Electrical Bias), ideally from within a Power Generation Energy background, from; Biomass, Waste, Cement, Tarmac, Coal, Steels Manufacturing, Foundry, CCGT, CHP or Nuclear plants, but ideally Biomass. You will have some understanding of the Biomass Power Generation process (steam, boilers, drying, turbines etc.), as well as a strong exposure to the world of heavy manufacturing power plants assets (high capital large scale machinery) & manufacturing / recycling facilities. Key heavy Power Plant machinery used on-site includes systems such as: * Fuel reception & weighing. * Preparation & drying. * Wood waste separation systems. * Vibratory conveyor systems. * Air classifiers * Wood waste crushers & chippers. * Screening systems. * Storage Feeders, hoppers & baggers (vertical bagging, form & fill). * Transfer & sorting conveyors. * Turbines & Generators * HV & LV Machinery Engineering Duties: * Carrying out M&E related PPM, fault finding, emergency repairs, breakdowns, project works, machinery / plant installations, project works (M&E), commissioning new machinery & decommission any old unwanted machinery. * Carrying out Facilities Maintenance where needed i.e. the Fabric of the Buildings etc. * Liaising with 3rd party sub contractors when needed. * Advising the Site Management teams on new machinery / CI measures. * Advising the SMT on how to achieve the best output levels (RHI). * General maintenance support across the whole site & whole operation. * Turning technical drawings & technical diagrams into reality. * Used to working in dirty, dusty & exposed to the elements sites, plus working at height & in confined spaces, not for the faint hearted, not for those wanting a clean room type environment. Attributes: * A relevant technical qualification such as an ONC/HNC/HNC/Degree or similar in an engineering discipline, plus time served in a comparable role. * Skilled in Electrical & Mechanical disciplines (M&E) but Electrical bias. * You will be from Power Generation Energy background, or Recycling or similar, but ideally from; Biomass, Waste, Coal, CCGT, CHP or Nuclear plants. Biomass experience would be a benefit but isn't a must have. . * 17th or 18th Edition wiring & installation certification. * NEBOSH & IOSH would be an advantage, not a must. * Knowledge or Qualifications within COTC or WAMITAB would be ideal. * Some Welding & Fabrication skills would be ideal. Pure day shift role, Monday to Friday, no nasty shifts & starting ASAP. Interviews are to take place immediately. The role may suit someone working as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, M&E Engineer, Shift Engineer, Electrical Craftsman, Electrician, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer or similar Electrical bias roles.
