GBR Recruitment Ltd are proudly working in partnership with a well established & highly progressive pre-cooked food business, that supplies a vast range of continental food products into UK retailers, foodservice, wholesale & manufacturing clients (B2B) recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager / Commercial Manager.

This is a great opening for a real passionate foodie who is strong in both business development & key account management / development across pre-cooked frozen continental meat based snack product lines.

You will be well versed in supplying B2B food solutions into both foodservice & wholesale sectors, with previous experience of working with large national food wholesalers, independent wholesalers, large restaurant chains, cash & carry's, large foodservice groups & large scale plus independent caterers UK wide.

Previous exposure to European supply chains would be a huge benefit as the food products are sourced from Europe & brought over into the UK market place.

Chilled & / or Frozen food line experience is also desired.

Duties

  • Business development, expanding current key accounts business, providing current customers with additional products lines, cross selling / up-selling food lines, whilst maintaining strong business partnerships & KAM.
  • Winning new business across the foodservice / wholesale sector (B2B).
  • Compile competitive quotes to secure new business.
  • Attending business networking events & food industry exhibitions
  • Update & maintain the CRM system
  • Follow up leads, converting them into new business
  • Devise a sales pipeline for new business generation
  • Liaise with the wider supply chain & internal departments
  • Support NPD / NPI
  • Update samples database
  • Attend supplier meetings in Europe
  • Achieve / exceed set sales targets & KPI's

Attributes

  • Sales, KAM, NAM, BDM experience in food industry sales
  • Commercial management skills & a strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in pre-cooked food lines is ideal
  • Experience in frozen food lines is ideal
  • Experience supplying into foodservice & wholesale customers (B2B)
  • Happy with European travel

This role could suit someone working as a Business Development Executive, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Category Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Executive, Territory Manager, Area Manager or similar.

Commutable from southern & central Lincolnshire locations.
