GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a leading Agricultural Farming Product business, who sell, service, maintain & repair Tractors, Combine Harvesters, Trailers, Attachments & more, recruiting for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician (workshop & field based, comes with a van) to join their team of Agri Engineering professionals.

Duties:

  • Working in a busy Service Department performing maintenance & repairs on a vast array of agricultural farming machinery including Tractors, Combines, Trailers & Attachments (varied work where you can test your skills).
  • Working on customer’s farms, agricultural businesses or within the workshop.
  • Advising customers on how to get the most out of their agri machines, plus giving advice on associated products & services available to them.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance diagnostics & repairs.
  • Completing service / maintenance reports & associated administration tasks that are required for works that are undertaken.
  • Understand agri machinery manufacturers’ customer care processes.
  • Complete regular product training (various agri brands) to enhance your product knowledge & to develop your agri engineering skills further.
  • Perform pre-delivery set up on new or used agri equipment as well as supporting the companies service specialists when required.

Attributes:

  • Strong experience working on Tractors is a must, plus it is an added benefit if you have worked on Combine Harvesters, Trailers & Attachments.
  • Some form of Engineering qualifications or time served in a similar role.
  • A passion for Farming products & equipment.
  • Knowledge of Farming processes is useful (harvesting, crop preparation etc.)

This role is commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate, Beverley, Wetherby, Bilbrough, Sherburn in Elmet, Copmanthorpe, Bishopthorpe, Snaith, Bradford, Dewsbury, Castleford, Pontefract, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Keighley, Selby, Goole, Wakefield, Otley & villages close to these. The agri client will also consider anyone looking to relocate to the above area.
