Working closely with brokers, technology, risk, and compliance teams, the position ensures stable market access, strong controls, and high execution standards, with scope to develop into a broader execution and flow-trading role as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide real-time, desk-based support, actively monitoring European and US electronic order flow throughout the trading session.
    • Ensure continuity and stability of DMA connectivity, routing configurations, and exchange access.
    • Configure and support FIX order, execution, and drop-copy sessions.
    • Diagnose and resolve issues such as rejects, connectivity interruptions, or latency anomalies in coordination with brokers and venues.
  • High-Touch Execution
    • Handle selected European and US equity orders requiring manual oversight or execution discretion.
    • Provide intraday liquidity insight, execution strategy considerations, and market colour.
    • Coordinate with brokers, venues, and dark/auction mechanisms to support best execution.
  • OMS/EMS & Platforms
    • Configure and maintain OMS/EMS workflows, routing tables, user profiles, and execution paths.
    • Work with platforms including Bloomberg EMSX/TOMS and Trafix.
    • Support UAT cycles, system upgrades, and production release testing.
  • Algorithmic Execution
    • Test and validate execution algorithms (VWAP, TWAP, POV, liquidity-seeking).
    • Monitor algorithm performance, venue selection, and routing logic during live trading.
    • Identify and escalate anomalies such as unexpected slippage or routing deviations.
  • Risk & Controls (in close cooperation with Risk team)
    • Configure and maintain pre-trade risk checks (max order size, price collars, credit limits, restricted lists).
    • Participate in market access testing, exchange certification, and periodic control reviews.
    • Ensure adherence to SEC, FINRA, exchange rules, and FCA compliance standards.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Investigate and escalate execution anomalies or system irregularities.
    • Work with Technology, brokers, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Produce execution metrics, incident reports, and performance analytics.
  • Client Onboarding Facilitation
    • Support the onboarding team in coordinating new client setups and ensuring a seamless end-to-end process.
    • Facilitate communication between front office, compliance, and operations to ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements.
    • Assist in collecting and submitting required client documentation and public record materials.
  • Risk and Compliance Adherence
    • Ensure trading activities comply with internal risk limits, regulatory guidelines, and compliance standards while promoting good customer outcomes.
    • Identify, analyse, and escalate potential operational or market risks, proposing solutions to mitigate exposure.
    • Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure trades and positions meet applicable risk policies and frameworks.

Qualification & Experience

  • Experience in equity execution trading, execution sales, or DMA support, covering both European and US markets.
  • Strong understanding of DMA workflows, electronic order flow monitoring, and FIX connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with OMS/EMS platforms such as Bloomberg EMSX/TOMS, Trafix, or comparable systems.
  • Familiarity with algorithmic execution strategies and how orders are routed across exchanges, dark pools, and auction mechanisms.
  • Working knowledge of pre-trade risk controls and relevant regulatory frameworks, including FCA, SEC, and exchange rules.
  • Ability to handle high-touch orders alongside electronic execution in a fast-paced trading environment.
