Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fixed Income Sales Trader with a strong understanding of both Developed Market (DM) and Emerging Market (EM) products. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and facilitating fixed income trades across a broad range of instruments, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with buyside accounts, including asset managers, hedge funds, and banks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute fixed income trades in developed and emerging market sovereign and corporate bonds, as well as related products, ensuring best execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international banks, buyside clients, including asset managers and hedge funds, to generate trade flow and maximise profitability.
- Provide market insights, trade ideas, and liquidity solutions to clients, leveraging in-depth knowledge of developed and emerging markets.
- Monitor global macroeconomic trends, geopolitical risks, and market-moving events that impact emerging markets fixed income assets.
- Collaborate closely with structuring teams, and other sales and trading professionals to optimise client offerings and enhance business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant trading and regulatory guidelines whilst managing risk exposure effectively.
- Work closely with operations and middle-office teams to ensure smooth trade processing and settlement.
- Continuously expand the firm’s client network and contribute to revenue growth by identifying and capitalising on trading opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in fixed income sales and trading.
- The candidate must possess deep connectivity with a wide range of institutional clients, including tier-one asset managers, specialist hedge funds and investment platforms, and be able to leverage these relationships to generate immediate and sustainable flow.
- Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through an existing book of client relationships.
- Strong understanding of EM sovereign and corporate credit, including primary and secondary market activity.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to originate, maintain, and grow client relationships.
- Proven track record of working in fast-paced, regulated environments with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
