About us: Who is GBM Group? We own and operate a network of highly-engaged youth communities on social media. We have 18+ pages including Great British Memes, That Girl Page, That Student Page and more, which across all social channels reach over 500 million every month. The vast majority of our social following comes from within our home market - the UK. We’re split into three core departments: Partnerships, Editorial and Creative. This open role would sit as part of the Partnerships team.
The role: We’re looking for a passionate and curious Partnership Manager. This person will thrive on delivering best-in-class campaigns and building strong, lasting client relationships. You’ll have experience in an agency environment and a genuine interest in the ever-evolving social landscape. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Partnership Manager and Director of Marketing Commercial Strategy, and the wider team, to lead the day-to-day management and delivery of social media campaigns and partnerships. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects run smoothly from briefing through to execution and reporting, keeping everything on track, on time and on brief.
As the key point of contact for clients, you’ll focus on nurturing and growing existing relationships, ensuring a high standard of client service and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and future business. This role is more focused on delivery of agreed scopes, rather than sourcing new business; however, there will also be an emphasis on building client relationships to broaden our previous, current & new partnerships. You’ll play a key role in making sure GBM is seen as a trusted, go-to agency partner, and build relationships with the likes of M&S, Uber Eats and VMO2.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with the Partnerships & Creative teams to deliver best-in-class social media campaigns and partnerships, ensuring all activity aligns with client objectives and GBM’s wider proposition.
- Own the day-to-day management of client accounts, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring a consistently high standard of service, communication and delivery.
- Lead projects from brief through to execution and reporting.
- Create your own pipeline of new business, utilising your agency contacts and expertise.
- Support with client pitches, new business wins and onboarding of new clients, as well as supporting the wider team with existing retained and project clients.
- Managing trackers of current partnerships to ensure full team alignment of deliverables, timelines and finance.
- Coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and agency partners, focusing on retention, satisfaction and the ongoing success of campaigns.
- Support the development of campaign responses and presentations, contributing strategic and creative input while ensuring proposals are realistic, deliverable and aligned with client needs.
- Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, maintaining clear timelines, budgets and deliverables.
- Represent GBM in client meetings and wider industry settings as a knowledgeable and reliable partner.
- Ensure delivery of campaign is fully complete and all content is live, communicating with clients.
This is not an exhaustive job description list and you will be required to undertake other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
What we’re looking for:
- Currently working at an agency environment at a Manager level or experienced Junior Manager, across either new business, project management or client services.
- At least 4+ years of relevant social media agency experience.
- Curated network of industry contacts, in-house and at media agencies.
- Proactive, can-do attitude, someone who takes ownership, goes the extra mile and consistently delivers against objectives.
- A strong communicator, confident working across all levels with clear written and verbal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with good people skills.
- Experience working with media agencies and clients direct, and navigating stakeholder relationships across planning, partnerships and performance teams.
- A solid understanding of digital and social media, with hands-on experience with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
- Shows initiative and takes responsibility, someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do but looks for ways to add value.
- Positive, personable and brings a great energy to the team.
- Experience with paid media is desired but not essential to the role.
- Management experience is desired but not essential to the role.
What success looks like: You’re a trusted partner to your clients, building strong relationships and delivering campaigns that run smoothly from brief to execution. Projects are seamlessly managed, on time, high quality and the clients are happy with what we deliver! You stay proactive with your accounts, internally keeping things moving, communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the wider team. You’ll also build your own independent pipeline, introducing GBM to new clients and winning new work with the help of the wider team. As part of a small, growing team, you take ownership, bring ideas and play a key role in strengthening both our client work and how we operate as a business.
What’s in it for you? A gorgeous office in London Bridge (3 days a week), NEST Company pension contribution, Company Macbook, Yearly eye tests.
